Details - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Course Overview:
This two-day course is designed for practitioners who support individuals with drug and alcohol problems. (Participants must be able to attend on both days)
CBT is a counselling approach that is designed to help individuals develop appropriate skills and strategies for change. This course will provide practitioners with an overview of the theory and build on this to help develop appropriate skills and tecniques for working with individuals who wish to address their drug use.
Course Aims:
- Establish an understanding of Behavioural & Cognitive Theories
- Establish an understanding of the principles regarding Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Develop Cognitive Behavioural Therapy intervention skills
This course supports the knowledge and understanding of the following DANOS competencies:
