Training Course Details - Safeguarding Children where there is Parental Substance Use
Course Overview:
This one-day course will increase understanding of the impact that substance use can have on parenting capacity and the importance of effective inter-agency assessments to safeguard children.  The training focus on the experiences of children living with adults who use drugs or alcohol. 

Course Aims

• Gain understanding of a child's experiences, exploring risk and protective factors in relation to parental substance use
• Develop skills and tools to use with children and families where parental substance use is an issue
• Gain knowldge of practice guidance, relevant resources and support services
